    Q:
How to replace the front side door handle on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the front side door outside handle involves uninstalling the trim panel together with the water deflector. Every outside handle rod-to-lock clip needs to be cut with side cutters until it separates from the lock before thoroughly unscrewing the remaining clip from the rod for disposal. Drill out three rivets which secure the outside door handle and then detach the handle from its rod and the door assembly. Put the outside door handle rod onto the door handle before installing both components onto the door. The outside door handle needs three rivets to secure it properly while the new outside handle rod-to-lock clip should attach to the door lock lever. The outside door handle rod must be positioned in the clip before closing the clip cover to prevent any unwanted movement of the rod. Install the trim panel along with the deflector when the work is finished.
