    Q:
How to replace the rear outside door handle on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
A protective tape must cover the handle before starting the replacement process of the rear outside door handle. The adjustable handle-to-lock rods on outside door handles must have all free space between parts eliminated before you use them. Start the process by removing the trim panel together with the water deflector followed by disconnecting the outside door handle rod-to-lock. A center punch removes the rivet centers followed by drilling the rivet from the outside door handle using a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) drill bit. You need to replace the rear door outside handle by first eliminating the door handle rod and outside door handle from the rear door and subsequently putting the new handle onto the rod before fitting it to the door. New rivets should secure the handle before reconnecting the outside door handle rod-to-lock and reinstalling both the water deflector and trim panel. Cut the tape which has been positioned around the handle before completing the repair.
