    Q:
How to replace the A/C Switch in the HVAC Control Assembly on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before replacing the A/C Switch, unsecure the negative Battery Cable and removal the instrument panel lower cover. Next, remove the A/C Switch retaining screws, and pull the switch out, making room to remove the cables and putting the markings of the cables and housings back to the switch. Remove the mechanical control cables by delicately prying off the cable eyelet and unsnapping the cable housing from the mechanical slide and disconnect the electrical connectors. For installation, plug the electrical connectors into the correct sockets at the back of the switch, position the mechanical cable housings appropriately, and seat the eyelets onto the appropriate posts of each cable. Carefully install the switch into the specified location at the Center Console and install the two lower left and lower right screws for the switch retaining screws tightened up to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Finally, reinstall the instrument panel lower cover, tight the negative Battery Cable, and test the switch to ensure it functions properly by moving it through all the positions it can take.
