How to replace the A/C Switch control assembly on 2006 Chevrolet Aveo?

To change the hvac control assembly, disconnect the negative Battery Cable with and observing the battery disconnect caution. Next, take out the instrument panel lower cover and the hvac controller retaining screws. Pull the controller away to clear space for cable removal and gently pry off the cable eyelet with the controller and unsnap the cable housing from the mechanical slide while being careful to locate the cables and housings for reinstallation purposes. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Connect electrical connectors to the respective sockets on the back panel of the controller cable housings to correct control positions. Push the eyelets onto the correct posts on the end of each cable and carefully position the controller in its designated location at the Center Console. Screw the controller with the lower left and lower right retaining screws, tightening them to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Finally, replace the instrument panel lower cover, reconnect the negative Battery Cable and check out whether the controller works properly by going through all the possible functioning positions of the controller.
