    Q:
How to replace the fuel injectors in the LLT (3.6L) engine on Buick Enclave? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of fuel injectors in the llt (3.6L) engine requires the first step to be the relief of high side fuel system pressure. Normal operating position of injectors needs to be recorded before installing the unit. The technician needs to detach the fuel injection Fuel Rail assembly for both bank 1 and bank 2. The replacement process starts by discarding the three Fuel Injector retaining rings before removing the direct fuel injectors together with their harness components and unfastening the electrical connector. Extraction can be achieved with the j 2619-01 slide hammer featuring j-37281-a injector remover when applied to achieve equal injector removal. The upper o-ring seal and plastic spacer and retaining ring and isolator cup and teflon seal need to be discarded from the fuel injectors. Check the Fuel Rail injector bores through use of j-39313 adapter and en-47909 cleaning kit and clean them when in need. Place new o-ring seal from gm p/n 12345610 or equivalent oil on the fuel injectors before installing the upper o-ring seal together with plastic spacer, retaining ring, isolator cup and teflon seal. Place the en 48266-1 from the en-48266 installer to the injector tip without applying new teflon seal lubrication before pulling the new teflon seal down into the injector groove. Place the en 48266-2 onto the end of the injector tip before you use medium pressure to turn the tool to resize the teflon seal. Reattach the direct fuel injectors and their harness as an assembled component by connecting the electrical connector with precise alignment similar to the measurement taken when removing them. Install the fuel injection Fuel Rail assembly for bank 1 or bank 2 after the completion of the procedure.

    Q:
How to replace the fuel injectors in the LLT (3.6L) engine on Chevrolet Traverse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace llt (3.6L) fuel injectors requires the use of ch-48027 or does not need ch-48027 to relieve high side fuel system pressure. Record down the alignment spots of each injector before removing them for future installation. The Fuel Rail assembly for bank 1 or bank 2 needs removal from the system. The three Fuel Injector retaining rings must be discarded before disconnecting the electrical connector and extracting the direct fuel injectors together with their harness as an assembly. A j 2619-01 slide hammer with j-37281-a injector remover should be used for even injector extraction when required. The upper o-ring seal and plastic spacer and retaining ring and isolator cup along with teflon seal must be discarded from each Fuel Injector. When bores show signs of contamination you should clean them using the j-39313 adapter together with en-47909 cleaning kit. Place a new o-ring seal in gm p/n 12345610 silicon-free engine oil equivalent before installing the new upper o-ring seal combined with plastic spacer followed by retaining ring then isolator cup and teflon seal onto the fuel injectors. Magnet the en-48266-1 part from the en-48266 installer toward the injector tip without teflon seal lubrication followed by seal installation onto the en-48266-1 which should be drawn into the injector groove. The en-48266-2 deviates from the en-48266-1 so workers must mount it on the injector tip while using moderate hand pressure to stretch the teflon seal. Lay the direct fuel injectors and their harnesses as one unit after taking away the en-48266-2 while reattaching the electrical connector with injector positioning similar to removal procedures. Reinstall the fuel injection Fuel Rail assembly which belongs to bank 1 or bank 2.
