    Q:
How to replace the lower control arm ball joint on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the lower Control Arm Ball Joint, first jack up the car and put jackstands under the frame, then lower it a little so it sits on the frame rather than the control arms. Take off the wheel before you remove the Control Arm. At this point, take off the Ball Joint mounting nuts and bolts. Assemble the Ball Joint by putting the mounting bolts through it and the Control Arm, then put the nuts on the underside and tighten them to 150 nm (111 lb ft). Put the Control Arm and the wheel back, then take out the jackstands and lower the vehicle.
