    Q:
How to service and repair the Brake Pedal Assembly on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
The service process begins with disconnecting the battery negative cable and disabling the sir system. Remove the electrical connector from the stoplamp switch and separate the Pushrod retainer, stoplamp switch, Pushrod, nut, Brake Pedal bolt, bushings and spacer. Place the Brake Pedal into position first and then put on the spacer then bushings. Secure and tighten the bolt to 47 nm by turning the nut 35 times. Insert the Pushrod and connect the electrical connector to the stoplamp switch before placing on the Pushrod retainer. At the end put sir in use and join the battery power wire.

How to service and repair the Brake Pedal Assembly on GMC C2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Make sure you disable sir while disconnecting the negative Battery Cable for Brake Pedal assembly service and repair. Pull off the electrical connection from the stoplamp switch and take out the Pushrod retaining clip before the switch. When served, take out the Brake Pedal by unscrewing the bolt nut and bolt first then untwist the Pushrod from its Brake Pedal stud location. Start by putting the Brake Pedal in place followed by the bolt and then fasten the bolt nut to 47 n.m (35 lb ft). Install the stoplamp switch into place and fasten the Pushrod retaining clip to its original position. Rejoin the stoplamp switch electrical connection and switch on sir before tightening the negative Battery Cable up to 17 n.m (13 lb ft).
