Intake Manifold

To replace the Intake Manifold, one should first get rid of Throttle Body, fuel injectors, vacuum brake booster hose, manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, and crankcase breather tube, and . Second, place the Intake Manifold bolts (512) and afterwards the Intake Manifold (500): followed by Intake Manifold gaskets which can be thrown away. For installation, insert new Intake Manifold gaskets onto the Intake Manifold (500), and apply a 5mm (0.2 in) band of threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or similar to the threads of the Intake Manifold bolts (512), and apply the adhesive lockplus onto the threads of the Intake Manifold bolts (512) (evenly suturing at the ends). Install the Intake Manifold bolts to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.) in a given sequence as the first pass and 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) for the final pass. Replace the evap purge solenoid vent tubes and make sure you lightly coat the MAP Sensor seal with the clean engine oil after that, install the MAP Sensor. Next, put in the pcv hose, vacuum brake booster hose, and guide the electrical harness into place over the engine. Lastly, install the fuel injectors and their Throttle Body.
