    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process of ABS Control Module replacement starts by verifying the Ignition Switch is set to off to avoid harming equipment. Start by removing the red locking tab from the connector lock tab then press down on the lock tab to expose the sliding connector cover for disconnecting the ABS Control Module harness connector. The assembly removal procedure requires cleaning all dirt but avoids using tools to pry parts or damaging bpmv surfaces or solenoid valves. Hover the ABS Control Module away from the bpmv by gently pulling on its end after screw removal of the 4 screws which connect them. To install the ABS Control Module you should first use a clean rag to clean the bpmv surface with alcohol and then place the ABS Control Module on the bpmv and fasten it with the 4 screws until they reach 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). Reconnect the ABS Control Module harness connector after pushing the lock tab and install the sliding connector cover back to the locked position then return the red locking tab. Complete the diagnostic system check - abs after setting the Ignition Switch to run with no engine start followed by the installation steps.
