Brake Pads

Begin the pad replacement by checking brake master cylinder fluid level in the reservoir. Add fluid through a hand pump if necessary to reach the midway point between the fluid limits. Place the vehicle lift under the vehicle. After that take out the tire and wheel parts. Twist brake caliper guide pins by hand but keep holding the guide pin using an open-end wrench to prevent touching the caliper and causing brake pulsation. Secure the brake caliper with strong mechanic wire then disconnect it from its mounting bracket before taking out both brake pads with the sensor-equipped inner pad. Cached the Brake Pad springs after cleaning the brake caliper base surfaces that show rust buildup. Put new Brake Pad springs in place before adding the Brake Pad on the outside and the Brake Pad on the inside. Install the brake caliper to its bracket before you put in the guide pin bolts using a back up wrench to secure the brake caliper (27 Nm 20 lb ft). Put the tire and wheel back on and when the engine isn't running apply the brake pedal gently to one-third of its range six times until it becomes firm to push the brake pads closer to the rotor. Fill the brake cylinder tank followed by using a special device to prepare the Brake Pad and rotor surfaces.

Discard the old springs and install new ones.
