    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose inlet and outlet on LLV and LLR with 2.9L and 3.7L engines on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of power steering gear inlet and outlet hoses on llv and llr models requires the use of a drain pan underneath the vehicle as the first step. First disconnect the Power Steering Hose assembly from the Power Steering Pump and then apply suitable safety stands for vehicle suspension before vehicle uplift. Initial steps include unfastening the retainer bolts that connect the Power Steering Hose assembly bracket before unseating the bolt which joins the hose assembly to the power steering gear. The vehicle requires a drain pan setup while disconnecting the Power Steering Hose assembly from the power steering gear and removing it from the vehicle. A thorough cleaning process of the power steering gear inlet and outlet ports is necessary for preventing future contamination. The necessary procedure for fitting new oil seals requires removing the power steering gear from the vehicle by using j 44586. Wash the inlet and outlet ports before you put fresh oil seals into their locations with the usage of tool j 44586. Place the power steering gear back into its location before you connect the Power Steering Hose assembly to the power steering gear bolt while tightening it to 12 nm (106 lb in). Lower the car while you tighten the hose assembly to Power Steering Pump till you reach 25 nm (18 lb ft). After you secure the hose assembly clip retaining bolts to 9 nm (79 lb in) the vehicle is ready. Complete the procedure by draining the pan then filling the Power Steering Pump reservoir to the correct mark before bleaching the power steering system.
