How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Chevrolet Blazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Apply the parking brake then take out the master cylinder from the vacuum booster while supporting the booster afterward. First unplug the check valve from the vacuum booster and then take out the left control panel cover. First remove the brake pedal pin retainer and afterward take down the stop lamp switch and Pushrod in sequence. Unbolt both the vacuum booster mounting nuts then pull out the vacuum booster assembly with its gasket. First secure the vacuum booster assembly onto its gasket then fit the vacuum booster mounting nuts and torque them to 40 nm . Place the Pushrod onto the brake pedal pin then connect all parts starting with the steering column support bracket and stop lamp switch. Lock the Pushrod retainer into position through its snap mechanism. Complete the job by putting back the cover and insulator panel on the left side along with the check valve to the vacuum booster and the master cylinder.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on GMC Jimmy? Posted by Customer
    A:
First set the parking brake and support the master cylinder when you remove it from the vacuum booster. Separate the vacuum hose from the vacuum booster before taking out the left closeout panel and insulator. Unfasten the Pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin followed by unscrewing the stoplamp switch from its location and pulling off the Pushrod from the brake pedal pin. After removing the steering column support and vacuum booster mounting nuts you can uninstall the vacuum booster assembly including its gasket. Put the gasket and vacuum booster unit on its installation position and torque the vacuum booster mounting nuts to 40 nm (30 ft.lb) settings. Reattach the steering column support bracket then route the Pushrod to the brake pedal pin and fit the stoplamp switch back on its holder. Put the Pushrod retainer in place on the brake pedal pin then place the left side panel back while connecting the vacuum hose to the booster and installing the master cylinder.
