    Q:
How to replace the power steering pump on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Power Steering Pump replacement requires the removal of the radiator air intake baffle before removing the air cleaner assembly and Drive Belt. Insert a drain pan inside the vehicle followed by power steering pressure hose and power steering cooler hose removal from the pump. The wiring harness from the wiring loom should disconnect from the pump to proceed with removing the mounting bolts and Power Steering Pump and its pulley. Begin installation by first mounting the Power Steering Pump pulley and then install the pump before tightening its bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Fasten both the power steering cooler hose and pressure hose to their proper positions with minimum torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) on the pressure hose . The installation process requires putting back the Drive Belt and air cleaner assembly and the radiator air intake baffle by reinstalling them after removing the drain pan. Measuring the power steering system vacuum and checking for leaks completes the process while making sure all components remain sufficient distance from each other.

    Q:
How to replace the power steering pump on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
Proceed with replacing the Power Steering Pump by starting with the unfastening of the radiator air intake baffle then moving on to the air cleaner assembly and Drive Belt. Start the procedure by placing a drain pan under the car then remove the power steering pressure hose and power steering cooler hose from the pump. The procedure starts with disconnecting the wiring harness from the wiring loom of the pump before removing the mounting bolts to extract the Power Steering Pump. The Power Steering Pump pulley removal requires the use of j25034-c. Through the use of j25033-c you should install the Power Steering Pump pulley so it fits tightly against the Power Steering Pump shaft end with a maximum deviation limit of 0.25 mm (0.010 inch). Fix the Power Steering Pump by installing mounting bolts according to a torque setting of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Attach the power steering cooler hose while fastening the power steering pressure hose to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Place the drain pan away while reinstalling the Drive Belt followed by air cleaner assembly and radiator air intake baffle. The power steering system requires bleeding then the technician should inspect all connected hoses for leaks while confirming appropriate clearance between each hose and frame components.
