    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
First set the hydraulic pump on a steady flat surface with its shaft pointed upward for replacement of the Power Steering Reservoir. A screwdriver should be used to extend the retaining clip tab and let the reservoir clip move away from the hydraulic pump assembly. First remove the second reservoir clip through this same procedure and then pull out the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing. The O-ring seal must be taken out from either inside the hydraulic pump housing or directly from the reservoir neck. The assembly process requires power steering fluid lubrication of the O-ring seal before installing it on the reservoir neck. Install the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly by making sure the reservoir neck enters completely into position. Set the reservoir feet parallel to the hydraulic pump housing sides then install the new clips provided with precise retention through complete engagement between retaining clip hooks and hydraulic pump structure.

    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir for the CB Series on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Strategies for changing the power steering reservoir off the vehicle for the CB Series start with placing the hydraulic pump on a stable flat surface with its shaft pointed upward. A screwdriver should be used to push the retaining clip tab into an open position while the reservoir clip needs to move away from the hydraulic pump assembly. Seal retention is done twice on the reservoir clip until removal of the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing . Discard the O-ring seal which should be removed from both the reservoir neck portion and from the hydraulic pump housing. Before installation of the new O-ring seal into the reservoir neck apply steering fluid for lubrication purposes. Then place the O-ring seal onto the reservoir neck. After that position the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly with complete insertion of the reservoir neck. Mount the reservoir feet along the sides of the hydraulic pump housing before inserting the provided reservoir retaining clips so their tabs properly match up with the pump housing.

    Q:
How do you secure the reservoir in place for the 2003 GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
Align the feet of the reservoir with the sides of the hydraulic pump housing and install the new reservoir retaining clips supplied with the pump, making sure the retaining clip tabs fully engage with the hydraulic pump housing.
