The first stage of secondary air injection pump replacement requires operators to disconnect power from the electrical connector and release the AIR pump hose quick connect fitting from the pump unit before putting the hose aside. The next step is disconnecting the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting from the AIR pump while simultaneously raising and supporting the vehicle. Begin by removing the front air deflector followed by unclipping the electrical connector from the bracket of the AIR pump and then uninstalling the AIR pump nuts. Proceed to remove the AIR pump while extracting both the AIR pump insulators if required. At installer level you should first mount any required AIR pump insulators before you join the AIR pump to the bracket and fasten the AIR pump electrical connector clip to the bracket. Install the AIR pump nuts while raising the vehicle and tighten them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Finish by reconnecting the front air deflector to the vehicle and then lowering it while attaching the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting along with the AIR pump hose quick connect fitting to the AIR pump and completing the connection with the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the AIR pump.

The front air deflector must be removed first before initiating the secondary air injection pump replacement. Begin by disconnecting the engine harness electrical connector from the secondary air injection (AIR) pump and proceed to remove the inlet hose quick connect fitting and the outlet hose quick connect fitting from the AIR pump. Begin by removing the AIR pump bolt after releasing the AIR pump nuts then raise and take out the AIR pump from the cradle bracket. Installation requires users to position and fasten the integral AIR pump nuts through cradle bracket holes before gently pushing the pump downward while properly securing the AIR pump bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Proceed by attaching the AIR pump outlet hose quick connect fitting along with the inlet hose quick connect fitting to the AIR pump while reinstating the engine harness electrical connector on the AIR pump. Resolution of the front air deflector completes the installation process.

The front air deflector must be removed before starting the secondary air injection pump replacement process. The engine harness electrical connector for the secondary air injection (AIR) pump must be disconnected first followed by quick connect fittings for both the inlet hose and outlet hose positioned at the AIR pump. Start by removing the AIR pump bolt followed by threading off the AIR pump nuts until the AIR pump becomes free to lift up and remove from the cradle bracket. The AIR pump integral nuts need to be aligned to cradle bracket holes before the pump can be lowered into position while tightening each nut to 10 Nm (89 lb in) and the bolt to 12 Nm (106 lb in). Reinstall the engine harness electrical connector to the AIR pump while at the same time connecting the outlet hose quick connect and inlet hose quick connect to the AIR pump. The last step includes reinstating the front air deflector.

The first step of replacing the secondary air injection pump requires disconnecting engine wires from the AIR pump connector and removing the AIR pump hose quick connect fitting from the pump. The hose needs to be set aside. Proceed by disconnecting the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting from the AIR pump location. The vehicle requires support during elevation before you can take away the front air deflector. Separate the AIR pump electrical connector clip from its bracket through the disengagement process and then remove the AIR pump attached nuts. Take out the AIR pump with its insulators if necessary after lowering the vehicle. Begin installation by installing AIR pump insulators if required and afterward attach the AIR pump to its bracket and finally apply the AIR pump electrical connector clip to the bracket. You should elevate the vehicle then fasten the AIR pump nuts while maintaining 10 N.m torque (89 lb in). Lower the vehicle before reinstalling the front air deflector while connecting the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting along with the AIR pump hose quick connect fitting to the AIR pump. At the end of the procedure join the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the AIR pump.

Tighten the AIR pump bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

Remove the front air deflector.
