    Q:
How to replace the fuel injectors and fuel rail on GMC Acadia? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail replacement starts with the removal of the Fuel Injector sight shield followed by disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Fuel Injector wiring harness electrical connector . The first step should include fuel feed pipe disconnect from quick connect fitting on the Fuel Rail before upper Intake Manifold removal. A compressed air supply should clean away any debris threatening the Fuel Injector entrance into the lower Intake Manifold. The necessary procedure includes removing the Fuel Rail bolts one by one before carefully extracting the Fuel Rail assembly to safeguard against jeopardizing the injector electrical connector terminals and spray tips while using a support stand to protect from damage. Drop caps on the fittings along with holes and secure them with plugs to block contaminants. The retainer holding the Fuel Injector electrical connector must be lifted while using the tab on the connector to detach it from its position. Remove the retain clip from the Fuel Injector and then take out the injector while discarding both seals. Begin the installation process with new Fuel Injector seals before installing both items and their retaining component. Reconnect the Fuel Injector electrical connector while securing it under the retainer through downward pressure. Attach the Fuel Rail with installed fuel injectors onto the lower Intake Manifold before torquing the rail bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Complete the installation by placing the upper Intake Manifold onto its location before connecting the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting to the Fuel Rail and reattaching the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Fuel Injector wiring harness electrical connector . Last step is to install the Fuel Injector sight shield.
