To replace the Radiator Grille Emblem/Nameplate on the TrailBlazer LT first use tape and protect the mounting surface and make alignment marks for installation. Use a heat gun to heat the emblem/nameplate in a circular motion for approximately 30 seconds to enable smooth removal off the hood. Care should be taken with fasteners so as not to damage the vehicles. Remove the emblem/nameplate from the panel surface by using a plastic, flat bladed tool. To remove adhesives, use a 3M™ (scotch brite) molding adhesive remover disk™, (3M TM-P/N-07501), body panels, or you could use lint-free rag and Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naptha or a 50/50 mix of Iso propyl alcohol and water for plastic panels. When replacing the newly purchased emblem/name plate, make sure it is installed in a dust-free environment to avoid adhesion problems. Clean the installation area with a lint-free cloth using the same cleaning solution on it and dry it well. Mark the place with tape, warm the area where mounting will be to 27-41 C (80-105 F), and make sure the emblem/nameplate is 29-32 C (85-90 F). Peel off the protective liner from the back of the emblem/nameplate, position it over the marked spot, and hold it there firmly till a uniform bond is made. Finally, lower the protective tape from mounting surface.

Clean the installation area with the same cleaning solution and dry it thoroughly.

Position it 76 mm (3.02 in) from the left edge of the rear compartment lid applique and 97.6 mm (5.83 in) from the bottom feature line.

Ensure the environment is free from dust and dirt, clean the area with a lint-free cloth and the same cleaning solution, and dry it thoroughly.

Attach the emblem to the grille, ensuring to follow the Fastener Notice.
