    Q:
How to replace the trailing arm on GMC Terrain? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before performing the Trailing Arm exchange start by elevating and supporting the targeted vehicle. Start by removing the wheel and tire before extracting the park brake cable bolt from both the Trailing Arm and the frame. The replacement process starts with the removal of the Trailing Arm bracket to body bolts and then continues with the Trailing Arm Bushing to bracket nut and bolt. The procedure begins by disassembling the Trailing Arm to knuckle bolts before extracting the Trailing Arm itself from the vehicle. When installing the Trailing Arm on the vehicle ensure you attach the Trailing Arm to the knuckle bolts then tighten them to 110 nm (81 lb ft). Install the Trailing Arm Bushing to bracket nut and bolt onto the Trailing Arm but maintain loose tension at this step. Tighten the Trailing Arm Bushing to bracket nut and bolt to 160 nm (118 lb ft) after positioning the bracket on the arm. After attaching the park brake cable bolt to the Trailing Arm and frame you should restore the tire and wheel before letting the vehicle down.
