    Q:
How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
To repair the coolant reservoir, dismount the reservoir hose clamp and loosen the hose from the radiator's overflow neck fitting. Next, remove the coolant recovery reservoir nut from the shock tower stud and remove the front upper retainer from the coolant recovery reservoir and the upper rail of the front fender. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir from the lower retainer and shock tower stud, then drain and clean it with soap and water, followed by a rinse in clean water. For the installation, connect the coolant recovery reservoir to the lower retainer on the fender and the shock tower stud, followed by installing the front upper retainer to the reservoir and the upper rail of the front fender. Mount the coolant recovery reservoir nut onto the shock tower stud and tighten it to a torque of 3.3 Nm (29 inch lbs.). Lubricate the reservoir hose with clean water and then run it to the neck overflow fitting of the radiator. Finally, secure the reservoir hose and clamp with the clamp tabs down onto the radiator overflow fitting, making sure the end of the hose is flush against the radiator filler neck and the clamp is sitting between the neck and the fitting's flared end. Add coolant to the recovery reservoir if necessary.
