    Q:
How to replace the rear door seal on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before working on the rear door Weather Strip you need to start by opening the door to uncover the sealing strip then remove it with either heat from a gun or gentle scraping but avoid damaging the door finish. A mixture of 50/50 isopropyl alcohol solution with water along with high flash naptha cleans the area until it dries with a cloth. The new sealing strip requires a temperature of 95 degrees ± 5 degrees for correct attachment to the door. Heat application with a gun will help when needed before sealing. You must remove the protective liner from the sealing strip by following a correct positioning process because the bottom sealing strip requires its original adhesive to adhere after touching the vehicle. A secure installation of the bottom sealing strip can be achieved by setting it against the locating feature beginning from the door inner panel's rear side and using gentle pressure for complete contact.
