    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the Intake Air Temperature Sensor on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
When changing the Mass Air Flow Sensor into an intake Air Temperature Sensor the sensor requires gentle handling to prevent hurting the honeycell opening and maintain the sensor's elements free from solvents and lubricants. The air duct installation requires a little amount of non-silicone lubricant. The first step involves taking out the air cleaner outlet resonator that is connected to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. The installation procedure begins when the technician disconnects the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor and loosens the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp before extracting the sensor out of its air cleaner assembly position. To install the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor place it in the air cleaner assembly while aligning the embossed arrow toward the motor direction. Secure the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp at 4 nm (35 lb in) while connecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. Reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator as the last step.

    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the Intake Air Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Silverado 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should handle the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor with care to protect the honeycell at the air inlet end of the device because touching the sensing elements or exposing them to solvents or lubricants can cause damage. Install the sensor only with a small amount of non-silicone based lubricant on the air duct. The first step involves taking out the air cleaner outlet resonator from the system. The engine wiring harness electrical connector should be disconnected first from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor while the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor seal clamp requires loosening before completely removing the sensor from the air cleaner assembly. The new Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor installation must start with aligning the embossed arrow direction to face the engine for correct airflow practice. Reinstall the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor first and then tighten the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor seal clamp to 4 nm (35 lb in) before you replace the air cleaner outlet resonator.

    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the Intake Air Temperature Sensor on GMC Sierra 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
When replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor with intake Air Temperature Sensor handle both sensors gently to prevent harming the air inlet honeycell and keep all substances away from the sensing elements including solvents and lubricants. The air duct needs a small non-silicone lubricant application to support the installation process. Open the air cleaner outlet resonator for removal. To proceed with the sensor replacement begin with removing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp while disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. After installing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor you must position its embossed arrow in the correct direction toward the engine before placing it into the air cleaner assembly. The Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp requires tightening to 4 nm (35 lb in) before you reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator as the last step.

    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on GMC Sierra 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
When installing or replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor handle it carefully to prevent damaging the honeycell and to protect the sensing elements from both touch exposure and cleaning solvent or lubricating contamination. Start by taking off the air cleaner outlet resonator before disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector attached to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. The Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor must be removed from the air cleaner assembly after loosening its seal clamp. The Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor installation should begin by orienting the embossed arrow facing the engine so the air flow stays proper. Secure the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor into the air cleaner assembly by tightening its seal clamp to 4 n.m (35 lb in). To finish the procedure position the engine wiring harness electrical connector on the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor followed by replacement of the air cleaner outlet resonator.
