    Q:
How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
To service the Throttle Position Sensor, unhook first the air cleaner outlet resonator and the Throttle Body. On the next stage, remove the tp sensor attaching screws and subsequently the tp sensor with the seal. For installation, ensure that the throttle valve is in normalclosed (idle) before positioning of the Throttle Position Sensor and seal on the Throttle Body assembly. In the event of replacing the tp sensor, certain tp sensor-attaching screws must be installed; additionally, when the screws attaching the tp sensor should be titanium to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Lastly, reconnect the Throttle Body and the air cleaner outlet resonator.

    Q:
How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet S10? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should remove the Throttle Body before extracting mounting screws from the throttle position (TP) sensor while being careful to keep the tp sensor dry from any liquid cleaner or solvent. Extract the tp sensor from the Throttle Body assembly. Place the tp sensor above the throttle shaft while matching the tp mounting holes to the Throttle Body assembly holes. The attaching screw threads require cleaning before applying thread locking material gm p/n 1052624 or equivalent because the screws have thread locking adhesive already applied. We must install the tp sensor mounting screws after tightening them to 2 n.m with an 18 lb in torque setting. Reconnect the Throttle Body afterwards and join the tp sensor harness connector.

    Q:
How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet S10? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step of throttle position (TP) sensor replacement involves removing the Throttle Body with its mounting screws from the tp sensor before extracting the tp sensor from the Throttle Body assembly. At this stage avoid exposing the electrical component to liquid cleaners or solvents since it may cause damage. Position the tp sensor directly above the throttle shaft and place its mounting holes into the corresponding holes of the Throttle Body assembly before securing the sensor in place with screws. Proper installation of the gm p/n 1052624 thread locking material or equivalent is necessary due to existing thread locking adhesive on the screws. Arrange the Throttle Body in place before connecting its tp sensor harness connector and tightening the screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in).
