Throttle Position Sensor

Start servicing the Throttle Position Sensor by disconnecting two electrical connectors: the idle air control (IAC) connector from the iac sensor and the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) connector from the MAP Sensor. First remove the water pump belt cover before removing the throttle position (TP) sensor retaining screws which allow you to disconnect the tp sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor. Install a new o-ring onto the tp sensor before attaching the tp sensor electrical connector to its location. The Throttle Body receives the tp sensor after fixation of the tp sensor screws to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in). After reattaching the iac electrical connector to the iac sensor and the MAP Sensor electrical connector to the MAP Sensor complete the process by reinstalling your water pump belt and tensioner cover. Conduct the tp sensor learn procedure by activating the run/on position through the ignition switch for one minute before returning to lock/off and waiting 15 seconds.

Placing your service work on the Throttle Position Sensor requires disconnecting the iac electrical connector from the iac sensor and then moving on to remove the MAP Sensor electrical connector from the MAP Sensor. Start by removing the tp sensor retaining screws electrical connector from the tp sensor . Then take off the water pump belt cover and disconnect the tp sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor before removing it. When installing the tp sensor use a new o-ring placed on the sensor followed by attaching the tp sensor electrical connector to the tp sensor and finally screw tightening the tp sensor screws to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in) before securing the tp sensor to the Throttle Body. Connect the iac electrical connector to the iac sensor while connecting the MAP Sensor electrical connector to the MAP Sensor. Afterwards install the water pump belt along with the tensioner cover. To complete the tp sensor learn procedure turn the ignition switch to run/on for one minute then switch it off while allowing a 15-second timer to expire.

The tp sensor learn procedure requires a one-minute run/on ignition period followed by 15 seconds of lock/off ignition state.

To get to the Throttle Position Sensor to service it start by removing the rear seat cushion as well as disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Next, remove the two nuts from the intake manifold sight shield and disconnect the iac electrical connector from the iac sensor . Then, turn off tp sensor electrical connector from tp sensor and disconnect Throttle Body assembly . Remove the tp sensor mounting bolts from the tp sensor and remove the tp sensor from the Throttle Body removing the o-ring. For installation, marry a new o-ring onto the tp sensor and attach the tp sensor to the Throttle Body, tightening the screws to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in). Put the Throttle Body assembly back, link the tp sensor and the tp sensor electric connector to the tp sensor and the iac electric connector to the iac sensor. Connect the negative Battery Cable and place the rear seat cushion back. Mount the intake manifold sight shield on the engine and fasten with the two nuts that should be tightened to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Finally, do the tp sensor learn procedure that requires you to switch the iga to run/on for 1 minute, lock/off for 15 seconds.

To service the Throttle Position Sensor, you should remove the negative Battery Cable. Removed the nuts on fuel injector sight shield and then seek to separate the iac electrical connector of the ac sensor and as well as the tp sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor . Then, the Throttle Body assembly and the tp sensor mounting bolts should be taken off from the tp sensor , and then the tp sensor should be removed from the Throttle Body . Remove the old 0-ring, put in a new one on the tp sensor. Mount the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body and torque tp sensor screws to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in). Skip the Throttle Body assembly, but reconnect the tp sensor electrical connector and the iac electrical connector to the iac sensor, what is the matter. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable, and install the fuel injector sight shield to the engine and tighten with the nuts to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Lastly, replace the rear seat cushion and do the tp sensor learn with the ignition on, waiting for a minute before you turn it off, and then wait for another 15 seconds.

Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector from the TP sensor.

First, remove the idle air control (IAC) electrical connector from the IAC sensor and the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector from the MAP sensor.

Take off the water pump belt cover and remove the TP sensor retaining screws and the TP sensor electrical connector from the TP sensor.

Remove the two nuts from the fuel injector sight shield.

Reinstall the water pump belt and tensioner cover, and perform the TP Sensor learn procedure by turning the ignition to the RUN/ON position for 1 minute, then to the LOCK/OFF position for 15 seconds.

Remove the idle air control (IAC) electrical connector from the IAC sensor and the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector from the MAP sensor.
