    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor requires users to begin by disconnecting the electrical connector from the sensor before removing the two securing screws to extract the sensor from its position on the air cleaner assembly. During sensor installation users must avoid dropping the element and should avoid touching sensing components and never allow solvent or lubricant to reach them; a small amount of soap solution will help with the process. Install the air cleaner assembly by fastening its 2 screws to a torque of 2.25 n.m (20 lb in). After this follow by plugging in the electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor.

    Q:
How to properly install a Mass Air Flow Sensor on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by unplugging the electrical connector of the Mass Air Flow Sensor before removing the screws which secure the Mass Air Flow Sensor for extraction from the air cleaner cover. Reinstall the Mass Air Flow Sensor on to the air cleaner cover by torquing its screws to 0.6 n.m (5 lb in) using the fastener notice in service precautions. When the sensor is secure reestablish the electrical connection and start the engine for idle operation to check if the air intake duct remains leak-free.

    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor requires detachment of the positive crankcase ventilation fresh air tube from the air cleaner intake duct. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor while removing the duct together with the Mass Air Flow Sensor from the Throttle Body and air cleaner housing cover. The replacement of the Mass Air Flow Sensor begins when you loosen its clamp and extract it from the air cleaner intake duct. The Mass Air Flow Sensor installation requires you to fasten it to the air cleaner intake duct by tightening the clamp to 2 n.m (18 lb in). You should reinstall the air cleaner intake duct with its Mass Air Flow Sensor onto the Throttle Body and air cleaner housing cover while tightening clamps to achieve 2 n.m (18 lb in). Reattach the Mass Air Flow Sensor electrical connector while you place back the positive crankcase ventilation fresh air tube to the air cleaner intake duct. Start the engine then observe its operation while inspecting if air leaks occur through the duct.
