    Q:
How to replace the exhaust heat shield on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for a Catalytic Converter heat shield begins with supporting the vehicle along with supporting the exhaust system during elevation. Disconnection of the oxygen sensor wiring harness from the heat shield comes next before extracting the Catalytic Converter. First remove the rivets fastening the heat shield and finally detach the heat shield. The first step for installation involves putting the new heat shield into place followed by rivet installation to secure it. After reattaching the oxygen sensor wiring harness to the heat shield connect the Catalytic Converter then remove the exhaust system support. To complete the inspection process you must check the exhaust system for leaks and underbody contact after lowering the vehicle.
