How to Replace an Exhaust Heat Shield on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace an Exhaust Muffler Heat Shield is to elevate the vehicle. Release the two bolts at the back of the heat shield which connects to the muffler shield before removing all bolts securing the floor panel studs from the exhaust heat shield. Place the muffler heat shield beneath the rear area of the converter heat shield on the floor panel studs before securing it with 5 bolts which need tightening up to 77 Nm (62 inch lbs.).
