    Q:
How to service and repair the evaporative emissions hose connected to the canister and fuel tank on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
A service or repair of the evaporative emissions hose linked to the canister and Fuel Tank must begin with draining the Fuel Tank and relieving the fuel system pressure first. After tank removal check the place of all retaining hardware for correct future replacement. Detach evap pipes (1,2,3) from their connections at the evap canister and Fuel Tank while replacing damaged evap pipes or connecting hoses especially if the nylon evap pipe shows kinks that cannot be restored. Proceed with installing the replacement evap pipe by following the exact paths as the original unit used. Location the evap pipes on the chassis then reconnect them to the evap canister through the specified ports (1,2,3). Fill the Fuel Tank with fuel before putting on its filler cap and reattach the negative Battery Cable. The inspection for fuel leaks requires turning the ignition switch first to on for two seconds followed by off for ten seconds before returning it to on. Check for leaks during this inspection sequence.
