    The first step before compressor hose assembly replacement requires the recovery of refrigerant through a halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). The procedure starts by removing both the air cleaner assembly and then disconnecting the battery. Initiate the removal of the suction line retaining bracket before disconnecting the compressor suction hose that leads to the accumulator. Starting with the compressor discharge hose removal from the condenser follow by taking off the engine splash shield. The left engine oil cooler line must be unhooked from both the oil filter adapter and the a/c pressure switch. The bolt securing the compressor hose assembly should be removed from the compressor area so the assembly can be extracted from the vehicle. Begin by securing the compressor hose assembly at the vehicle position and attach it to the compressor while tightening it to 30 n.m (20 lb ft). Starting with the reattaching process of the left engine oil cooler line to the oil filter adapter followed by installing the engine splash shield and connecting the a/c pressure connector. Install the compressor hose to the accumulator while tightening it to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Move on to installing the compressor hose to the condenser and set the bolt to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). You must replace the air cleaner assembly followed by air conditioning system recharging then conduct an inspection of component fittings using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
