Pressure Metering Valve

Before you start to change the proportioning valve you must locate the left or right valves under the vehicle and secure the brake pipe with a rubber cap to avoid brake fluid loss. First disconnect the brake pipe from the left and right proportioning valves. To install the proportioning valve either left or right select place it into the brake pipe end and apply torque of 15 Nm. To finish the process you need to drain hydraulic brake fluid from the system.

Start by uncovering both left and right proportioning valves under the vehicle. Before beginning protect the brake pipe fitting from air and fluid exposure through a rubber cap. Take out both left and right proportioning valves from their location on the brake line. The right fasteners need to go into their proper positions during valve installation. Also use replacement fasteners with the numbers that apply to the specific system. Apply fasteners without paints, lubricants, or corrosion protectants because these substances reduce the torque and force of the joint connection and may harm the fasteners. Use the defined tightening method to keep components safe. Install left/and right proportioning valves to brake pipe fitments and fasten them with 15 Nm torque. The last step is to drain all hydraulic brake fluid from the system.

First, locate the proportioning valve under the vehicle and remove it from the brake line, ensuring to plug the brake lines to prevent excess fluid loss.
