- Q: How to service the fuel injectors on 2000 Buick Century?A: Recovery of pressure from inside the fuel system must happen as an initial step. The upper Intake Manifold together with the Fuel Rail must be carefully detached from the engine. The first step involves clearing the Fuel Injector retaining clips from position before removing the fuel injectors. The service technician needs to remove both upper o-ring and lower o-ring from fuel injectors before proceeding with installation. Start by installing upper o-ring and lower o-ring onto fuel injectors then mount them to the Fuel Rail. Reinstall the Fuel Rail followed by the upper Intake Manifold after installing the retaining clips onto the fuel injectors. Check for fuel leaks by turning the ignition on for 2 seconds followed by a 10-second off period then re-turn the ignition on and inspect for leaks while maintaining a connection of the negative Battery Cable.
