  A: To take out the cruise control module first you are supposed to remove the cruise control cable and the electrical connector . Then you have to unfasten the module bracket retaining fasteners (1,3) and extract the cruise control module and bracket assembly from the car. Next, extract the module to bracket fasteners to de-connect the module from the bracket. For installation, start by installing the cruise control module to the bracket making sure one follows the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Install the module for bracket fasteners and fasten them to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in). Next put the cruise control module and bracket assembly back into the vehicle and retighten the module retaining fasteners (1,3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Lastly, connect back the electrical connector as well as cruise control cable, and check the functionality of the component.
