Separate the cruise control module from its bracket while removing both of its bracket fasteners. Installation begins when you connect the cruise control module to its bracket while observing the Fasteners Notice under Service Precautions. Tighten the module to bracket fasteners at 7.5 N.m torque value (66 lb in of moment). First tighten the module retaining fasteners (1, 3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in) to secure the cruise control module and bracket assembly inside the vehicle. The electrical connector and cruise control cable need to be reconnected while inspecting component functionality.
