Replace the stoplamp switch while keeping the Brake Pedal fully up to avoid injuring the brake components and installing the switch correctly. You must first remove necessary ip and instrument panel sound insulators from their places. Turn the lower switch counterclockwise to disengage it and follow by detaching its electrical connectors. To set up lower switch operation you need to join electrical contacts and put the switch into the lower clamp starting with its connector at 6 o'clock. Push the switch lower into the holder until its plunger fully enters the switch tube then turn the switch clockwise until it locks and points to the 8 o'clock position. Finally, reinstall the sound insulator.
