How to replace the Brake Light Switch in hydraulic brakes on Cadillac DeVille?

Begin the replacement process by taking out the left sound insulator from the vehicle. Turn and slide out the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch counterclockwise to detach its power connection. When placing the stop lamp switch in its fully locked position the device should self-align automatically because twist lock switches need no changes. Put the stop lamp switch into place and push until it reaches the switch barrel depression. Turn the switch rightward until its mechanical lock secures. Connect the electrical wire to the stop lamp switch before placing the sound insulator back.
