How to remove and install a wiper arm on 2000 Cadillac DeVille?

Park your wipers to the park position then mark where the blade rests on the windshield. Use proper markings to aid in reinstallation. Unplug the washer hose from the air outlet while you slide off its cover from the Wiper Arm nut. Remove the Wiper Arm nut. When rocking the Wiper Arm fails to separate it, apply a battery terminal puller to unstick the parts. Rotate the Wiper Arm left and right to separate it from the Drive Shaft. After that take out the Wiper Arm. Prepare the Drive Shaft knurls with a wire brush before removing the Wiper Blade from its Wiper Arm. Push the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm and position the arm correctly to follow the previousankan mark on the windshield. Secure the Wiper Arm to the Drive Shaft and place its nut on. Tighten the nut until it reaches 32 n.m (24 lb feet) torque value. Put back the cover and clamp the washer hose to its air intake before testing wiper function.
