How to replace the door lock cylinder on 2000 Cadillac Eldorado?

Start the replacement of the Door Lock Cylinder after making sure the window is fully closed. First remove the trim panel from the surface before extracting the water deflector. Secondly remove the Door Handle situated on the exterior of the vehicle. Liberate the nut attaching the lock cylinder to the Door Handle before extracting the lock cylinder from the outside panel. Insert the lock cylinder onto the Door Handle by using the provided nut while tightening it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The door installation process includes first putting back the outside Door Handle followed by the water deflector then completing with the trim panel.
