2000 Cadillac Seville Air Suspension Compressor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on 2000 Cadillac Seville?
A: In order to replace the Air Suspension Compressor, lift the vehicle. Before removing the Air Hose off the intake Air Filter or the Air Suspension Compressor, clean up the parts and its surroundings in order to avoid dirt from entering the system of the alc. Unplug the air tube from the air dryer and then unbolt and release the basher tie with the air tube of the Air Suspension Compressor bracket. Next, you need to disconnect the intake Air Filter, disconnect the vehicle harness connector from the Air Suspension Compressor connector and you need to pull off two nuts and two bolts that secure Air Suspension Compressor assembly to the vehicle. Slide off the Air Suspension Compressor connector from the connector anchor then slide off the two bolts of the heat shield from the Air Suspension Compressor bracket. Disconnect air dryer from the Air Suspension Compressor and remove two points for Air Hose from the Air Suspension Compressor and then two screws and 2 brackets from Air Suspension Compressor. When installing, secure the two brackets to the Air Suspension Compressor with two screws adding 7 nm (62 inch lbs. Ferturbation). The first step will be to connect the Air Hose to the Air Suspension Compressor right at two points, and then add the air dryer to the Air Suspension Compressor. After that, fix the heat shield to the bracket of an Air Suspension Compressor using three bolts to be left for later use after connecting the air tube then tightened to 4 nm (35 in, lb). Connect the Air Suspension Compressor connector to the connector anchor and install the Air Suspension Compressor assembly to the vehicle with two nuts and bolts tightening them to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Attach the harness connector to the Air Suspension Compressor connector, reinstall the intake Air Filter, attach the air tube to the air dryer, and secure the air tube and harness tie to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket using the bolt, torquing to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Make sure to turn on the ignition and wait about 45 seconds to make sure that the air adjustable shock absorbers had filled the residual pressure, then lower the vehicle.
