• Q: How to replace the wiper motor on 2000 Chevrolet Camaro?

  A: Begin replacing the wiper motor by taking off the wiper arms and then the air inlet grille panel together with the water shield. To remove the RH linkage assembly first separate it from the LH linkage using Wiper Linkage Separator (J 39232) and then take out LH linkage assembly. Pull the wiper motor out of the bracket slots by removing its single screw. Disconnect both ends of the wiper motor using the Wiper Linkage Separator (J 39232) and remove the electrical connector from the wiper motor end. Insert the electrical plug into the wiper motor then secure the RH linkage assembly onto the wiper motor with J 39529 while maintaining the crank arm in the innerwipe placement with the drive pin aligned into the cam slot. Thread the wiper motor screw into the brackets with two locating pads until it reaches 10 N.m torque. Put on the Wiper Linkage Installer (J 39529) to join RH linkage assembly to LH linkage assembly and position the assemblies into place with screw and nut. Tighten both screws to 10 N.m (7.5 lb ft). Place the water shield on the LH linkage assembly while the flat side faces the windshield area before adding the air inlet grille panel and wiper arms.
