How to Service and Repair the Trunk Latch on 2000 Chevrolet Impala?

In order to replace the rear compartment lid latch, open the compartment and put a mark where the latch is. Take out the retaining nuts by disconnecting the electrical connectors and removing the retaining nuts. Install the new latch using the marks, install the nuts, reconnect the electrical connections and close the compartment.
