    A: First, drain and recover the coolant from the cooling system in order to service the cooler reservoir. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the radiator surge tank and also disengage the low coolant connector. Then, remove the radiators surge tank hold down sent and the tank as well. For installation, connect the surge tank to the vehicle and tighten the bolt to 9 nm (80 inch lbs). Then fasten the coolant hoses to the radiator surge tank and the low coolant connector. This includes topping up the cooling system in the radiator surge tank and checking the system for leaks. Use the gm goodwrench dex-cool coolant as recommended in service precautions.
