    A: Service Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): It is directed to turn OFF the ignitions & release engine coolant pressure. Drain the engine coolant and disconnect the eletrical connector. With the help of a deep well socket and extension, take out the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. For installation, apply sealer GM P/N 9985253 or equivalent to the ECT sensor threads and install the sensor to the engine and use the 23 N.m (17 lb ft). Connect the electrical connector, fill the engine with coolant to the proper level, then start the engine and check for leaks of the coolant.
