How to replace the Spark Plug Wires on 2000 Chevrolet Malibu?

To replace the ignition cable harness, first you turn off the Ignition Switch. Take out the retaining clips on the ignition cables using the Spark Plug heat shield removal tool (J38491) from the engine. Twist the engine and the ignition cable boot half turn to remove it from the connect hook without breaking the wire while pulling only the boot. When changing the ignition cables, transfer the ignition cable conduit and retaining clips. Remove the ignition cables from the spark plugs using the Spark Plug heat shield removal tool (J 38491) and make a note of the connector's placement before its disconnection. For installation connect the ignition cables to their correct places and set the engine in a proper position and install the ignition cable retaining clips on the engine.
