How to service and repair the Throttle Position Sensor on 2000 Chevrolet Malibu?

Once the ignition is turned off users should disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector to service and repair the Throttle Position Sensor. Begin by unscrewing each tp sensor attaching screw followed by removing the tp sensor before finishing with the tp sensor o-ring. Begin sensor installation by putting the new o-ring in place before setting the throttle valve to its normal idle position. Fix the tp sensor screw into place with loctite(R) 262 or equivalent thread-locking compound gm p/n 1052624 before tightening the screws to 2.0 n.m (18 lb in). Finally attach the electrical connector to the tp sensor.
