How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Malibu?

Start the Throttle Position Sensor service by shutting down ignition power and taking away the air intake duct. After disconnecting the tp sensor electrical connector users must remove its 2 fasteners and withdraw both sensor components and o-ring. For installation, place the o-ring on the tp sensor and install it on the Throttle Body assembly, ensuring to use a thread-locking compound such as loctite(R) 262, gm p/n #1052624, or an equivalent on the 2 tp sensor fasteners. Secure both tp sensor attaching screws to a torque of 2 n.m using 18 lb in of force before connecting the electrical connector and replacing the air intake duct.
