  A: Before servicing or repairing the transmission position switch/sensor operators must disconnect the electrical connector and remove both mounting bolts along with the park/neutral position switch assembly. First secure the shift shaft in its n (Neutral) position before installing the park/neutral switch. Align both sets of flats on the shift shaft with the corresponding flats on the switch. Secure the park/neutral position switch mounting bolts with 24 nm torque (18 ft. Lbs. Torque).
