How to Service and Repair the Brake Backing Plate on 2000 Chevrolet Metro?

First, to service the backing plate, remove the parking brake cable and then the wheel cylinder. In case of necessity, take away the wheel bearing. Unscrew the four bolts to remove the brake backing plate. Apply a similar to the mating surfaces, re-install the backing plate and fix it with bolts. Redo the parking brake cable and re-fit the wheel cylinder.
