How to replace the front brake line on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

First support and lift the vehicle safely before starting work. Take off the wheel and tire from the front end to wipe off dirt deposits from brake components. Place a back up wrench around the hose fitting while you unscrew the brake pipe from the hose at its bracket without deforming the metal components. You need to detach the retainer clip from the hose mounting bracket before pulling out the hose. Unclip the brake hose bolt and then take off the brake hose with its two washers for disposal. Join the brake hose to the caliper using two new washers and tighten the brake hose bolt at 54 Nm. Apply brake fluid to the threads of the bolt and tighten the brake hose caliper bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Connect the brake hose into the bracket with smooth bends and place the hose opening into the bracket notch by following the hose paint line. Install the brake hose fitting with the retainer clip before linking the brake pipe to the hose while using a back up wrench to tighten the pipe tube nut to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) without bending either part. Put back the front tire and wheel on condition that the hose does not rub against suspension parts when making sharp turns. Adjust the hose placement as needed. After that lower the vehicle and eliminate trapped air from the brake system through the bleeder valves.
