    Q:
How to replace the front brake line on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before replacing the front brake hose elevate the vehicle properly and place support stands under it. Take off the front wheel and tire before cleaning all foreign particles off the brake hoses and fittings. Put a second wrench on the hose fitting to disconnect the brake pipe from the brake hose without harming either part. Unclip the metal holder and easily slide out the hose. Take off the brake hose bolt and attachment pieces except for the washers which should be discarded. You should connect the brake hose caliper bolt , the hose , and two new washers onto the caliper unit. Use only new washers during installation. Add brake fluid onto the bolt threads before turning the brake hose caliper bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Apply brake hose to bracket and position it right before inserting the hose connector into the bracket notch following the hose paint strips. Fasten the retainer at the hose connection point on the bracket then use a back up wrench to secure the brake pipe with the hose. Prevent bracket and pipe flexion during this step. Tighten the tube nut on the brake pipe to 15 Nm. Put back the front tire and wheel but keep the hose away from suspension parts when turning sharply; replace the hose when it touches the suspension parts. Complete the steps by putting the vehicle down and letting air escape from the brake system.

    Q:
How to replace the front brake line on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by lifting and securing the vehicle before taking off the wheel and tire from the front. Put a rubber closure on the brake pipe fitting while cleaning built-up dirt from both brake lines and fitting ends. Secure a back up wrench onto the hose fitting to disconnect the brake pipe from the brake hose while staying away from bending the brake pipe or bracket. Take off the hose retaining clip from its bracket and pull the brake hose out of the bracket mounts. Separate the bolt holding brake hose and brake caliper before detaching brake hose from the caliper. Remove the stuck brake hose gaskets since they will not work with the new pipe. Install fresh copper brake hose gaskets onto the brake hose and fasten them with the brake hose bolt. Use 40 ft. Lbs (54 Nm) to fix the brake hose to caliper bolt onto the brake caliper assembly. Place the brake hose inside the bracket while the vehicle rests on its suspension, keep the pipe straight to its destination and guide the hose using the paint strip. Secure the retainer over the hose fitting at its bracket location and take out the rubber cover from the brake pipe connection. Use a back up wrench to link the brake pipe with brake hose while avoiding any bends to the bracket and pipe. Then tighten the connection to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Replace the front tire and wheel properly and watch how the brake hose touches suspension parts at extreme turns; resolve the problem the hose contacts any suspension parts during extreme turns; if it does, correct the issue. The last step is to release trapped pressure from the brake system and put the vehicle down.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Brake Line on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before starting replace the front brake hose first lift and stabilize the vehicle and then take off the front tire assembly. Remove all dirt from brake lines and brake nipple connections before putting a rubber seal on the open nipple end to protect fluid and contamination. Keep the brake pipe straight while using a back up wrench to detach its end from the brake hose. Then safely seal the brake pipe fitting without distorting either element. Slip the clip retaining the hose from its bracket and free the hose from the fixture. Extract the brake hose bolt from the caliper then disengage the brake hose from its connection with the caliper. You should remove both copper brake hose gaskets which may adhere to either the brake caliper or hose terminals. You need replacement copper brake hose gaskets to attach with the brake hose bolt before installing. Fit the brake hose to caliper bolt onto the brake caliper while applying a torque of 54 nm (40 ft. Lbs.). Set the brake hose into place while the vehicle rests on its suspension and position it through the bracket with smooth bends before aligning the hose fitting into its notch following the hose paint stripe indications. Fit the retainer around the hose fitting at the bracket before taking off the rubber stopper from the brake pipe/stream. Place the brake pipe fitting onto the brake hose and fix it using a back up wrench on the hose. Do not bend the bracket or pipe during the installation process then secure the brake pipe fitting at 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Place the front wheel assembly back onto its position while steering checks show the hose must stay away from suspension parts; replace the hose if necessary to solve this problem. Close the brake system with hydraulic fluid and let the vehicle slowly return to ground level.
