Dismantle the lock cylinder retainer by pulling it off and remove all three items (cylinder, retainer, and gasket) from the rear compartment lid. Insert the rear compartment lock cylinder into the mounting hole on the lid while straightening its shaft toward the compartment latch. Press the lock cylinder retainer into the socket until it reaches its full position and secure the rear compartment.
