In order to install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder on a Monte Carlo, open the rear compartment and take out the lock cylinder retainer. Loosen the lock cylinder and gasket. Fit the lock cylinder shaft with the latch, lie the lock cylinder and gasket, and press until it is seated. Lastly, place the retainer and shut the compartment.
